At the Movember Foundation, we take pride in sharing our latest annual report with you. The support of our passionate Movember Community has helped us to become the largest global men’s health movement. This annual report is our story and shows exactly who we are – the leading global men’s health charity committed to allowing men to live happier, healthier and longer lives. Our story revolves around the man, the father, the son, the friend and the challenges he faces in his life and how it affects his health. The modern day man still lives in a world where it’s not masculine to be vulnerable and strength is considered as being silent. We’re using a disruptive and collaborative approach at Movember to invest in programs that shatter this perception and have the highest impact on men’s health. Our story looks at our history, why men’s health, our investment and fundraising strategy, governance and financial overview.

Since 2003, the Foundation has funded over 1,000 men’s health programs focusing on our four priority issues: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, poor mental health and physical inactivity. Millions have joined us as champions for men’s health and helped raise $650 million. Last Movember was our most significant campaign to date in raising awareness. The research we funded led to breakthroughs in prostate cancer and testicular cancer…but our work is not done, as men are still dying too young. That’s why we’ve now evolved to a year-round fundraising model.

As an organization we are proud of our low administration and fundraising ratios, which globally sit at 17% of the funds raised. This is within the international best practice range of 15% – 25%. Our story also offers a glimpse into how we are moving forward to achieve our vision of having an everlasting impact on the face of men’s health. Last year we were ranked 72nd out of the top 500 NGOs in the world and awarded most innovative not-for-profit organization in Australia. This didn’t happen overnight; it’s all thanks to your growing and supporting role in our story.
