Homelessness cannot be avoided.  This has to go hand-in-hand as we grow as a community.  These issues also connect to the lack of affordable and low income housing.  To embrace economic development, we have to get our arms around the idea of building a community of people that is inclusive of everyone.  The bricks and mortars will come later.  Social sustainability is essential to creating a community of connectivity that will enrich our culture as a “Choice City.”

What we don’t want is homelessness abounding in such a fashion as Colorado Springs is experiencing.
